Hilltop Barn is a detached farmhouse sleeping nine across four bedrooms and two bathrooms. The entrance opens into a generous living and dining area where the focal point is a large table—the kind that encourages people to gather for meals rather than scatter across rooms. Beyond this, a bright conservatory houses table football and comfortable seating, making it a natural hub for the kind of evening relaxation that happens when a group has had a full day outdoors. The kitchen is compact but fully equipped for cooking, and a private garden extends the usable space, with views reaching towards the coast.
Electricity, bed linen and towels are provided as standard. The property sits within a mile of both the coastline and a pub, placing it in reach of immediate seaside amenities without being marooned by them. Blandford Forum sits inland, but the proximity to the Dorset coast makes this a workable base for exploring that stretch of the region. The no-smoking policy applies throughout. Check-in is after 18:00 and checkout before 10:00.

Probably the best Sykes cottage we've ever stayed in. Very roomy, kitchen excellent and well equipped. Two self contained areas, upstairs and downstairs, so ideal for sharing with friends. Sofa and tv area upstairs for friends or family, large TV with Sky downstairs. Very quiet location. Hosts very friendly and helpful. Note check in time 5.00, and check out 9.30. This is not shown on the Sykes website 😒. It would help to know when booking.

The best B&B I've ever been to! Bill is a wonderful host, who is very knowledgeable about the local area, and cooks a great breakfast for you every morning. Gluten free options as well. Lovely rooms views as well.

Great location and great service. A bit tricky to find and only accessible by car as there are only 1 bus per day to the next city. Very nice and peacefull stay. Breakfast was fresh and locally sourced where possible and very tasty. The whole building is a nice converted barn and has a lot of character. The room was spacious but the floor creak a lot, but i suppose you can't have it all when you convert an old building. Still a very nice and relaxing stay, highly recommend.

This B&B is the most beautiful place we have ever stayed in. The room and the attached bathroom were exceptional clean and decorated so beautifully. The bed was lovely and comfortable and the surrounding grounds were just stunning. The owner was so accommodating, we chose our breakfast for the following morning, each night and were greeted in the morning with Fresh coffee/tea/ juice/ a plate of fruit and what ever we had ordered for breakfast (I opted for smoked salmon and poached egg, but there was a lot more on the menu.) I would 100% recommend and we will be returning,
