Mallams

Mallams is a restored end-of-terrace cottage spread across three floors in Fortuneswell, on the Isle of Portland. The building's vertical layout means stairs feature throughout, with the ground floor containing a living and dining space, a kitchen equipped for proper cooking, and a shower room. Bedroom 1 is a double on the first floor; bedroom 2 has bunk beds and connects to the utility room (which houses the washing machine and tumble dryer) and a second bathroom. The top floor holds bedroom 3, a super kingsize. The property sleeps six and is yours alone for the duration of your stay.

Essentials including Wi-Fi, electricity, bed linen and towels are covered. There is parking for one car on site, with additional on-road spaces nearby. A patio garden provides outdoor space. An elevated position means four steps lead to the entrance. Smoking is not permitted.

Portland offers a range of things to do within reach: the cliffs and walking routes, Portland Bill with its lighthouse, the Bird Observatory, Portland Castle, and the sailing academy at Weymouth. Weymouth itself is close by, with a beach, shops and waterfront dining. The cottage works well as a base for exploring the coast, whether you're after outdoor activities or seaside time.
