Old School Retreat is a converted schoolhouse in Puddletown, Dorset, sleeping eight across four bedrooms. Walking through the entrance, you step into a generous open-plan ground floor where the kitchen, dining area and main living room flow together, lit by large windows. A second sitting room with galleried ceiling offers quieter space when the group splits up. Upstairs are two further bedrooms, making this a property that genuinely works for two families or a larger party sharing cooking and social time.

The kitchen is comprehensively fitted: electric oven, gas hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge-freezer and coffee machine mean you can cook properly or keep things simple. Bedrooms vary from a double with ensuite on the ground floor to singles and zip-and-link options upstairs, and two bathrooms serve the house. One well-behaved dog stays free. Heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are included; parking for two cars is on site. A travel cot and highchair are available if needed.
