The Scullery

Dorset's countryside holds numerous country estates, but few open their grounds to visitors. The Scullery stands within one such property, a restored grooms cottage that now operates as a self-catering rental. Two bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, occupy the first floor; downstairs holds the living space and kitchen. Everything here has been finished to a high standard, from the roll-top baths and walk-in showers to the kingsize beds dressed in quality linen.

The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking, with an electric oven, induction hob, microwave and all the usual appliances. Smart TVs, Wi-Fi, heating, electricity, bed linen and towels are all provided. Parking for two cars comes with the property. The cottage is yours alone—it's not shared accommodation—and one well-behaved pet is welcome to stay. Smoking is not permitted inside.

The setting matters here: you're staying within the grounds of a historic private estate, with a lake among the features of the landscape. The cottage suits couples, small families or friends wanting a comfortable rural base. Check-in is after 4pm and checkout before 10am.
