This converted grooms cottage sits within the grounds of a historic Dorset estate. The Tack Room is one half of a pair of sympathetically restored maisonettes, both originally built to serve the house itself. The refurbishment has preserved period character while introducing modern comfort—roll-top baths and walk-in showers in each en-suite, underfloor heating throughout, and bedrooms with smart TVs. The whole property is yours alone, with its own living room downstairs and a fully equipped kitchen where you can cook properly.
The ground floor holds the living and dining space. Upstairs, two identical bedrooms each have a kingsize bed and its own bathroom. Wifi, electricity, bed linen and towels are all included; there is parking on site for two cars. The grounds contain a lake. One dog is welcome. Smoking is not permitted indoors. This suits couples or small families wanting a rural Dorset base with the sense of staying somewhere with real history—though it remains a private holiday rental, completely separate from the main house.

Lovely little place to stay and bring the dog at a great price. Owners were really friendly and welcoming. I would definitely stay here again.
