The Ark Barn

The Ark Barn works well for families after more room than a typical holiday let, or two couples travelling together. Three double bedrooms and two bathrooms mean everyone has their own space, and the ground floor shower room is separate from the main bathroom upstairs. The open-plan living area has a wood-burning stove, TV and dining space where you can cook proper meals—the kitchen is equipped for it, with a full-size cooker, dishwasher and all the everyday kit. Bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi and heating are included; there's private parking for three cars and a travel cot and highchair are available if you need them.

The barn sits on the owners' land in central Kent, putting you within twenty minutes of Canterbury's restaurants and shops, Dover's ferry port if you're heading to France, and the beaches at Ramsgate, Broadstairs and Margate to the east. Deal, a quieter coastal town, is similarly close. Walkers and cyclists will find routes through the surrounding countryside. If golf is your thing, Royal St. George's is eight miles away, and there are two other clubs nearby. Wingham Wildlife Park and Howletts Wild Animal Park are within six miles for days out with children. The Kent coast is about nine miles south. No smoking inside the property.
