What visitors say

Mick Pelling

A valuable asset for Kings Lynn, telling the history of King's Lynn fishermen, boat building, and the area, most of which now demolished. Highlight are the two preserved fishermen's cottages, so small hard to credit a family of ten could all live in one. Additional asset is a small tea room

Brilliant museum telling the story of the poorer part of town, that is now all but gone. Thank God the cottages and smokehouse were preserved so there is something left to give you a sense of how people lived. Very friendly team of staff and volunteers and lovely tea room with nice food.

Really enjoyable visit. Makes you realise just how hard life was in those days. Dont think the kids today realise how lucky they are No indoor toilets, 6 to a bed! Staff were very helpful
