Cree Valley Lodges - Cree Lodge
Dumfries and Galloway
Galloway Forest Park sits at your doorstep—three hundred square miles of valleys, moorland, lochs and ancient woodland where red deer, wild goats and birds of prey roam freely. The park holds Dark Sky status, one of only four in the western world, making it exceptional for stargazing once darkness falls. Hill walking, mountain biking and water sports fill the surrounding area, while the Scottish Dark Observatory lies at the far end. Nearby Castle Douglas, Gatehouse of Fleet and Kirkcudbright each have their own character, from food to art to heritage, and are worth the short drive.
Cree Lodge is a two-bedroom, two-bathroom property sleeping four, set on a working sheep and dairy farm with views towards the Solway Firth. Everything is on the ground floor: an open-plan living space with a forty-inch smart TV and Netflix, a kitchen fitted for proper cooking, a bedroom with a king bed and ensuite, and a second bedroom with two singles. The garden is enclosed, with a patio, decking and a hot tub for four. One dog is welcome (this is sheep country, so it must be kept on a lead); horses can be stabled by arrangement. Essentials like heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are included, and there is private parking for two cars.
