Dumfries and Galloway

Heron View comes with the essentials already sorted: electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are all included, plus a supply of logs for the woodburner. The kitchen has a cooker, dishwasher, washing machine and fridge, so you can cook proper meals. Upstairs are two bedrooms (one kingsize, one with two single beds plus a pull-out single) and a shower room. Downstairs, an open-plan living space centres on a woodburner, with a dining area and kitchen flowing together. A travel cot and highchair are available if needed.
Outside is where Heron View genuinely stands apart: a private hot tub for six sits in the gravel garden, with views over farmland toward the Galloway Hills. Parking for two cars is included. The cottage is no-smoking. Kirkcudbright, known as the Artist's Town, is within easy reach on foot—the harbour, galleries, shops and restaurants are there, along with the ruins of MacLellan's Castle. For those who prefer quieter days, woodland and coastal walks start from the property itself. The cottage sleeps five and welcomes one well-behaved pet.

Three cottages in a very peaceful location yet only 1 mile from the shops and facilities in Kirkcudbright. A great location for exploring the area.

Very well equipped cottage in beautiful location, walking distance to the friendly town of Kirkcudbright. Donald was very quick to help too. Kids loved watching the cows over breakfast!

Lovely place just 20 minute walk from Kirkcudbright. Cosy and warm with great facilities. Hot tub and log burner made it special. Watching the stars was magical too!
