Repentance View

Repentance View is a detached farmhouse set back in rural countryside, where the main living spaces open directly onto an enclosed garden. Ground-floor sleeping and bathing mean some guests never need the stairs, while the living room stretches across the width of the house with large windows and doors that lead straight outside. A woodburner sits at the heart of things for winter visits; an oil Aga handles cooking, and the dining room connects easily to the kitchen for group meals. Bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are included, along with oil heating and electricity.

Upstairs there are three further bedrooms: one with a kingsize bed, one with a zip-and-link super kingsize (which can be split into two singles), and one with bunks and two single beds. Two bathrooms and a shower room spread the traffic. The garden is lawned and enclosed, with seating and a barbecue for guests who want to cook outside. Four cars can park on the drive. No smoking indoors.

The location sits a handful of miles from Annan and Lockerbie, with Dumfries a short drive away for shops, restaurants and historical attractions. Nearby Trailtrow Villa lies close by.
