The Soup Kitchen

The Soup Kitchen is a converted property in the village of Borgue, near Dumfries and Galloway, with three bedrooms and two bathrooms accommodating up to six guests. The layout is split across two floors: bedrooms and a shower room on the ground level, with the main living spaces upstairs. Bedroom 1 and 2 each have a double bed, while Bedroom 3 offers two zip-and-link single beds that can be configured as a super king if needed. The first floor contains a spacious living room with a 42-inch TV and patio doors that open onto a covered veranda, plus a separate kitchen and dining room where you can prepare meals using the electric oven, hob, dishwasher and full fridge-freezer.

The property sits on the edge of the village with views across the surrounding area. Outside there is an enclosed lawned garden with decking and garden furniture, a gas BBQ, and a hot tub housed in its own cabin—designed so you can use it whatever the weather. Private parking is available for four cars, and there is bike storage on site. WiFi, electricity, bed linen and towels are included; heating is oil central. The village has a pub serving food nearby, and the coastal location makes it a practical base for exploring Dumfries and Galloway. No smoking is permitted inside the property, though one well-behaved pet is welcome. Stairs and two steps in the garden should be noted if access is a consideration.
