About Holiday Inn Express Dunfermline
Holiday Inn Express Dunfermline sits in the heart of the town, within easy walking distance of Dunfermline Abbey and Palace, the High Street and Pittencrieff Park. As part of the IHG group, it offers the consistent, no-frills comfort the brand is known for, aimed at travellers who want a reliable, well-located base rather than a country-house experience.
Rooms are modern and functional, and rates typically include a free hot breakfast and Wi-Fi throughout the hotel, along with a small fitness centre for guests wanting to keep up a workout routine while travelling. Free on-site parking is available for around ninety vehicles, useful given the hotel's town-centre position.
Its central location and straightforward pricing make it a popular choice for business visitors, families exploring Fife, and anyone using Dunfermline as a base for day trips into Edinburgh or along the coast, with the town's shops, cafés and the abbey all within a few minutes on foot.

We've just returned from another excellent stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Dunfermline while visiting family. We've stayed here several times over the past few years, and the fact that we keep coming back probably says more than anything else. On each visit we've found the hotel to be clean, comfortable and well maintained. The staff are always friendly, welcoming and helpful, making check-in and our stay completely straightforward. Consistency is something we really appreciate, and this hotel has always delivered that. We have no hesitation in recommending it and fully expect to stay here again on our next visit to Dunfermline. Basic rooms, comfortable beds, enough plugs for phone and watch. Great front desk. Very personable. Shower had strong pressure. L10 to center of the city via taxi. Eat at Haberdashery restaurant and drinks at The Old Inn.

The hotel is situated close to large shopping centre where there is an ASDA, a McDonald's and a B&M, which is very ideal. It is around a 10 minutes drive to the centre of Dunfermline, so it is a great base to go explore the area. In the reception there is a 24hr Coffee machine, but it is sometimes turned off. The room is nice and cozy, with a small compact bathroom and shower. The problem was that when you open the sofa bed, barely any space is left. Also it is little small to sleep to people. Another problem we had was that the room was prepared for 3 people not 4, and even the next day after we had gotten extra towels, they still gave us only 3 after cleaning.

Stayed here for one night in April. I arrived early, plenty of parking and they checked me in one hour early. Rooms are quite big, very clean, desk for working, coffee making facilities. The hotel is a short drive to Dunfermline and there is a big retail park directly across the road where you can find an Asda and other shops and a self-service petrol station. There’s a Harvester pub within walking distance but I chose to eat in the bar on the ground floor - pizza and a pint. Free breakfast in the morning. Had a decent sleep so no complaints!
