About Old Bridge End Certificated Location

Old Bridge End Certificated Location is an RV park in the rolling countryside of County Durham, near the village of Witton Gilbert. The site sits within easy reach of the Pennine landscape that characterises this part of northern England, offering a base for exploring the region's hills and moorland.

The park has shower facilities on site. It is a certificated location, meaning it operates under specific camping and caravanning rules that limit numbers and length of stay, creating a quieter atmosphere than a full commercial park. This makes it a good choice for those seeking a more low-key RV stop in the Durham countryside.

What visitors say

During our roadtrip from Scotland to England we had an unforeseen event that delayed us in Durham. Little did we know that we were about to stay in one of the best places of all. A little piece of heaven not far from the city of Durham. So peaceful and perfect for nature lovers. If you love animals it’s the place for you! The hosts are simply amazing and really welcoming. We stayed just a night because our schedule didn’t let us stay more, but if it wasn’t for it, we would have definitely stayed! Thank you so much to the hosts, we really hope to see you again!

Very lovely pleasant owner, and a small site with lovely view over the surrounding countryside. It has a toilet disposal site, bins and freshwater.Nice walk to the local village and pub, which does meals. Pitches are slightly sloping so levelling blocks recommended, would definitely use again.

Great location with stunning views. The owner's met us on arrival and gave us information on the local area plus 6 free range eggs. In my view this is one of the best CL sites we have stayed on. Again on this visit Christine & Tony the owners met us and gave us 6 free-range eggs. This really is an hidden gem. We will certainly be back. As the video shows stunning views over the buttercup ✨️ fields.

Small Caravan Club CL (5 units), lovely views across the countryside. Helpful, friendly owner. Levelling blocks required. Enclosed field for exercising dog. Close to Beamish (6.3miles) & Tanfield Steam Railway (9.2miles)
