Two bedrooms upstairs—each with a double bed—share a bathroom, while downstairs you get a living room with a wood-burning stove and Smart TV, plus a separate kitchen and dining area equipped to cook from scratch. Essentials like electricity, Wi-Fi, bed linen and towels come as standard, and one pet stays free.
Behind the cottage is an enclosed courtyard with garden furniture, useful for letting a dog roam or simply sitting out. The Queens Head pub is within walking distance. Bishop Auckland lies 3½ miles away and has shops, restaurants and historical sites including Auckland Castle; Durham itself offers a cathedral, castle, riverside walks and a busy cultural calendar. For a day trip further afield, the Metro Centre near Newcastle is roughly an hour's drive. The village has a children's play park opposite. No smoking inside the property.
