About Delta Hotels Durham Royal County by Marriott
Durham Cathedral, the Castle and the historic city centre are all within walking distance of Delta Hotels Durham Royal County by Marriott, making it a straightforward base for exploring the old part of the city on foot. The hotel sits on Old Elvet, near the river, with pubs, bars, restaurants and other eateries scattered around the surrounding streets, and a golf course also nearby for those who want to venture a little further.
The hotel itself has 150 rooms, including family and accessible options, all en-suite with air conditioning and in-room drinks. There's a restaurant and bar on-site, plus outdoor seating, room service, breakfast and kids' meals for families. Guests consistently praise this hotel for its spacious and clean rooms, many of which boast lovely river views. The friendly and helpful staff, convenient on-site parking, and excellent central location for city exploration are also frequently highlighted.
Some reviews mention the rooms can be dated.
