Oak Cottage

Sidmouth sits on the Jurassic Coast, famous for its annual folk festival and dramatic cliffs. The seaside town is within easy reach of this two-bedroom cottage, which stands in peaceful countryside a short drive inland. Oak Cottage sleeps four across two bedrooms, each with its own bathroom – one offers a double bed with shower cubicle, the other has two single beds and a bath with shower over.

The first floor contains the main living space: an open-plan kitchen, dining and sitting area with French doors opening onto a balcony. Inside, the kitchen is fully equipped for cooking – electric oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine are all provided. Freeview TV, a DVD player and electric fire are in the living area for quieter evenings. Heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are included. The shared garden has a picnic bench for outdoor meals when the weather allows, and there is parking for two cars on site.

The cottage suits families wanting a base for exploring the coast and countryside without the bustle of town. Note that there are steep, narrow stairs to reach the first floor, and smoking is not permitted.
