About Duncombe Farm
Hoping to hike through Hampshire or drive around the Downs? Duncombe Farm has a farmer's field in the lush Meon Valley with your name on it. The South Downs Way passes right through East Meon, a pleasant parish that's a mere ten-minute walk from the site, while the village itself offers a pub, food shop and post office - handy for thirsty walkers after days of rural rambles.
This is a working arable and sheep farm surrounded by rolling hills, so guests can be pretty sure they'll experience proper country life. The pastoral spot is all about back-to-basics getaways and keeping things as peaceful as possible - hence the adults-only policy and low-key facilities (though basics like toilets and showers are covered). You're free to set up a barbecue or use the site's firepit to build a blaze under the stars.
With just a handful of pitches, this tiny site punches well above its weight for tranquillity. Dogs are welcome, but just one per pitch, and do keep them at a respectful distance from your woolly neighbours.

I stayed at Duncombe Farm on the opening night of the 2024 season. What a beautiful place in a gorgeous location. Lisa is so helpful and friendly. The site is small but perfectly formed. The wet weather room/washing up room was full of useful local information. We stayed here because my husband was cycling the King Alfred Way that weekend. I did an amazing hike from the site too. It was so lovely to wake to the lambs baaing. Super place.

Hidden gem for camping, beautiful views and quiet yet 5 minute walk into a picturesque town with two pubs and a small store. Clean shower and toilets as well as fridge and freeze to use and firewood available to purchase (bring cash!). Lisa was so friendly and helpful - will be back!

First time visiting Duncombe Farm and it will definitely not be the last. A real hidden gem! Huge pitches, amazing views and so ridiculously peaceful. Lisa (owner) popped by to welcome us and make sure we were settled in and happy. We asked if there was a local shop as we'd forgot to pick up an onion for our burgers....20 minutes later, Lisa reappears with an onion for us! It's the tiniest attention to detail and care that makes a massive difference. 11 out of 10 from us! Happy to recommend Duncombe Farm to anyone!
