The River Blyth's approach to Southwold runs through flood meadows visible from Okovango, a newly built cabin finished with sustainably grown softwood, locally sourced oak and chestnut, and reclaimed materials. Three steps from the parking area lead to a veranda where you can watch wildlife moving along the old railway line that borders the grounds, or simply look up at the Suffolk night sky. The setting is quiet; smoking is not permitted.
Everything sits on a single floor. The open-plan living space has a smart TV and bi-fold doors that open onto the veranda, where garden furniture and a firepit await. The kitchen has a modern electric oven, hob, microwave and fridge, with counter space and a table for two. The bedroom holds a kingsize bed; the ensuite has a walk-in shower. Bed linen, towels, wi-fi and heating are included. You'll have private parking for two cars and access to shared barbecue facilities on the wider grounds.
Southwold is a short drive away, offering the pier, beach, lighthouse and independent shops. The cabin suits couples seeking a coastal retreat with nature on the doorstep rather than a bustling seafront location.
