Zambezi
East Suffolk
Zambezi is a newly built wooden cabin on the East Suffolk coast, constructed from sustainably sourced softwood, locally harvested hardwood and reclaimed materials. It sits on a single storey with everything on one level, opening directly onto a veranda that overlooks the flood meadows where the River Blyth winds towards Southwold. A disused railway line runs through the grounds as a wildlife corridor, creating an unusual setting between water and woodland edge.
The cabin contains a bedroom with a kingsize bed and walk-in ensuite shower, an open-plan living and dining area with a smart TV and bi-fold doors that open fully onto the veranda, and a kitchen with electric oven, hob and modern appliances. Bed linen, towels and wifi are included, along with a welcome pack. The veranda itself functions as additional living space—there is garden furniture, and you can use the firepit and barbecue (shared with other properties on the site). Private parking for two cars sits beside the cabin.
The cabin sleeps two and is yours alone for the duration of your stay. No smoking. It suits couples seeking a quiet, single-storey base within walking distance of Southwold's beaches and town, or anyone who wants to watch for wildlife from their own space rather than explore it on foot.
