About Alexandra Hotel Eastbourne
Alexandra Hotel Eastbourne occupies a spot on King Edwards Parade, a traditional seafront hotel with 38 rooms overlooking the East Sussex coast. Many of the rooms have been refurbished and come with comfortable beds and en-suite bathrooms, with sea views a particular draw for those who book a front-facing room. Parking permits are available for guests arriving by car, a useful detail in a town where seafront parking can be tight.
Downstairs there's a restaurant and bar, along with room service and drinks brought straight to your door if you'd rather not go far. Breakfast is included, free WiFi covers the building, and a lift makes access easy for those who'd rather skip the stairs. Concierge staff are on hand throughout, and are consistently described as friendly and willing to help with local recommendations. One point worth flagging: some guests have found the showers in certain rooms not quite up to scratch, so it's worth mentioning if yours isn't working properly.
The location puts guests close to Eastbourne's own attractions, with golf, fishing and watersports all available nearby, plus pubs and restaurants within easy reach for evenings out. Brighton Centre also lies within striking distance for those wanting a day trip along the coast.
What guests say
This hotel was clean and smelled good. We liked our room and although it's not a posh place it is clean and tidy. Staff were lovely. Breakfast was pretty poor. Hovis bread and badly made poached eggs using low quality eggs with light yolks. A medium low quality offering as far as muesli and other continental breakfast foods was concerned. Not enough milk in the bedroom. But we would stay here again as the location is good and the staff pleasant.

The hotel is right on Eastbourne seafront, not far from the theatres a short walk away. The room was clean, the bed comfortable, but windows are dingle glazed, this made for a disturbed night, with the early morning revellers. The washroom is tight, but had a shower, sink and wc. There was a kettle, tea bags, coffee and milk provided. Im not sure i would stay again as there are other hotels within the price range that have better reviews -(i didnt book the room here).

Fab hotel on the seafront in Eastbourne. Very welcoming staff, comfortable room and wonderful views. We could see the sea whilst sitting in bed!! Good breakfast and easy parking outside on the seafront (paid separately). Great value - would recommend 👍

Just stayed at Alexandra Hotel as we were seeing a show at the Congress Theatre. The staff were very accommodating. We were there early about midday. We were able to get the parking permit for hotel guests (£2.35 cash) although the room wasn’t ready we were checked in and given our room key. The hotel is a 5 minute walk to the theatre. About 15 minutes from the pier and about 15 minutes from main shopping/restaurants. We ate in the Bistrot Pierre which is just a 5 minute walk. Our room was excellent with sea views.
