Stayed here overnight ahead of a hike, the staff member who checked us in was friendly and helpful. Didn't have breakfast so can't comment on that, but the room definitely felt below par for somewhere that is advertised as a 4 star hotel. Generally in major need of a refurb and cleaning, but at the very least, the heavily stained duvet, towels and mattress could be replaced. Shower tray was orange and bathroom was not in a good condition. Although the room wasn't hugely expensive, I had expected better. The location is convenient, by the sea and the start of our walking trail, as well as a number of nice restaurants.

The Mowbray is a charming, welcoming hotel with a wonderfully friendly team. My room was spotless, comfortable, and filled with thoughtful touches. Breakfast was excellent, fresh, generous, and beautifully prepared. The location is perfect, just steps from the seafront and theatres. The atmosphere feels homely yet professional, making the stay relaxing. I’d happily return and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Eastbourne.

Stayed at The Mowbray for a short visit and found it to be a decent, average stay overall. The location is very convenient, close to the beach and within walking distance of the town centre. The room was clean and comfortable but fairly basic, and breakfast was fresh but nothing standout. Staff were polite and helpful when needed. Overall, a reasonable option for a short stay.

Really nice place to stay, just a minute from the seafront and a short walk to the main promenade and the pier. The staff are wonderful—friendly, helpful, and dedicated. The breakfast has everything you need, with both a full English and continental selection. You really can't expect more for the price. Excellent value for money!
