About Pearl & Pebbles Eastbourne
Pearl & Pebbles Eastbourne occupies a terraced building on Lascelles Terrace, with 50 rooms spread across the property and a lift for easy access to all floors. It's a straightforward base rather than a grand address, but the beds are comfortable and the location near the beach is a genuine draw for anyone wanting to explore the East Sussex coastline.
Rooms come with en-suite bathrooms, drinks provided in-room, and family rooms are available for those travelling with children. Free WiFi runs throughout, and reception is staffed around the clock. That said, some rooms can feel a little tired and basic amenities aren't always as plentiful as expected, so this suits guests after a no-frills stay rather than added luxury.
Outside the hotel there's plenty within reach: a golf course and fishing nearby for those wanting to get out and about, along with pubs, bars, restaurants and other eateries close at hand for evenings out. Walking areas nearby make it easy to stretch your legs along the coast, and there's entertainment nearby too for a change of pace after dark.

What guests say
DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE! When I arrived, the service at the front desk was poor. The staff didn’t really care and weren’t bothered to explain anything, and whilst “serving” me, was taking phone calls and texting on their personal phone… Secondly, already having made a booking online, I was made to pay an extra £50 deposit?! If this was explained on the booking then understandable, but it wasn’t. Lastly, the hotel itself felt old, smelt bad and uncared for. Upon arrival in the room, it wasn’t so bad compared to the rest of the hotel, until I realised there was no AC/Fans in the room despite it being boiling summer. One of our beds had a dead insect under the sheets! The window was rattling constantly through out the night, the shower had no pressure whatsoever and I left with multiple insect bites! I believe this place had bed bugs and I’ve been left with multiple bites after my stay. This hotel is awful, unhygienic, uncared for and rude staff. Don’t let the price fool you, it’s not a bargain, it is just awful and will ruin your stay in Eastbourne. I do not recommend, will not be staying again and everyone else who stayed with us shared the same experience.

The hotel was very disappointing. The room was dirty, the mattress was stained, and the shower curtain smelled like urine. There was almost no water pressure in the shower, the TV didn’t work, and there was no internet. The cherry on top was a broken window patched up with cardboard. When I mentioned these issues to the receptionist and asked if this was normal, he simply said that this was their standard and that the hotel next door charges more. I understand that different hotels have different price points, but for over £80 per night I expected at least basic cleanliness and working facilities. I’ve stayed in budget hotels before, but this was by far the worst experience. I genuinely couldn’t wait to leave and go home.

It's budget and chill but the shower wasn't warm first time and just now I booked again and the bin had smelly stuff in it... I was just grateful to find somewhere and the price is what you pay for... All this said I actually slept all night fine and this was more important than anything else. Beware the so hotel is the same thing... Just book via Pearl and Pebble... I think they probably merged it or was old name with bad rep

It's not even worth one star. The rooms are worse than a serviced motel. The elevator was broken. There was no air conditioning in the room. The window was wide open—was I supposed to jump out? A completely nonsensical hotel.
