About Eastbourne Riviera Hotel

Eastbourne's seafront is right on the doorstep of the Eastbourne Riviera Hotel, on Marine Parade, with golf, fishing, cycling routes and walking paths all within easy reach, plus pubs, restaurants and entertainment nearby for evenings out. Watersports along the coast add another option for anyone wanting to get out and about during their stay.

The hotel has 36 rooms, including family rooms and options with sea views, all with en-suite bathrooms and drinks available in room. Some rooms are more traditional in style and a few guests have found the beds not quite to their taste, but the ground floor makes a strong first impression, with a bright, modern and consistently clean feel. A lift serves the upper floors, and there's a garden, meeting rooms and luggage storage for practical needs.

Breakfast is a particular highlight, well-regarded and generous enough to set guests up for a day exploring the coast. There's also a restaurant and bar on site, along with free WiFi throughout, and staff are consistently described as friendly and helpful. Overall, it's a straightforward, good-value base for a seaside stay in Eastbourne.

Reliable Rentals

We arrived at this hotel, it was dark and dingy with no lights. The sea view room had a great view but this is here it ended. This property is in severe need of some love, a smile behind the front desk would have been nice. The only redemption for this hotel was the love young waitress serving breakfast in the morning.

The location of the hotel is very good, the staff is very nice and helpful, but the rooms are stuffy, they don’t have ac or ventilation, the windows don’t open that much so there’s no airflow. The beds are hard, the sheets were ripped. It was clean but the rooms are old. There was a spiderweb on the ceiling, the windows weren’t cleaned. There was a strong smell in the elevator and also in the room. The fan had dust on it. In the bathroom there wasn’t a toilet paper, but toilet paper dispenser for each individual sheet of toilet paper. The sink had a separate taps for hot and cold. The cups on the sink were plastic ones. The table had a lot of dust on the bottom of it. The loading bay in front of the hotel was occupied with the cars of a friends of the staff.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room and bathroom were clean, and toiletries such as shampoo and soap were provided. The hotel has a great location, right by the seafront and the pier. There are lovely views, streets to explore, and plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. The only downside was that the shower water pressure was a bit weak.
