About Badjao B&B

Edinburgh Zoo lies within easy reach of Badjao B&B, making it a handy stop for anyone keen to spend a day among the animals before heading back to relax. Slateford is close by too, just a short distance away, giving guests a quieter spot to explore beyond the city centre bustle. Golf, fishing and a choice of pubs, restaurants and other eateries are all within reach nearby, along with some local entertainment options for evenings out.

Badjao B&B sits on Moat Place in Edinburgh, offering straightforward, comfortable rooms, some with en-suite bathrooms and some sharing facilities, plus family rooms for those travelling together. Breakfast is included, free Wi-Fi runs throughout, and drinks can be brought to your room. A 24-hour reception means arrivals and queries are covered whatever time you land.

The dining area has a cosy, homely feel, in keeping with the B&B's low-key character rather than any grand hotel styling. Free on-site parking makes driving in from the zoo, Slateford or further afield straightforward, and rooms are kept simple and functional rather than elaborate. It suits guests after a no-fuss base for exploring Edinburgh's sights rather than a luxury stay.

This is a good option if you're looking for a bed and breakfast. The owner is very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, I didn’t get the chance to try the breakfast as I chose to sleep until late. The rooms are equipped with a kettle and tea&coffee, as well as towels. In the shared bathroom, there is toothpaste and shower gel for guests' use. The bus stop is just around the corner, so commuting to the city centre is not a problem — there are a few different bus routes.

It took me a little time to get used to the B&B, but I was very satisfied in the end. It's expensive but so is everything else in Edinburgh. For Edinburgh standards, it's not expensive at all. Rooms are small and comfort is very basic, but you will find everything you need and it's clean. There's a bus stop right in front of the B&B that will bring you straight to the city centre in about 15 minutes. Breakfast is good and the hostess is absolutely lovely! If I'm ever to go back to Edinburgh, I'll definitely stay here again.

You must be sure, you are not a claustrophobia. The rooms are very small and you have to share the barhroom with the other 5 or 6 guests. We felt very sad, because we didnt get our paid breakfast. So, it wasnt very easy to find any breakfast on 1st january.
