About Heeton Concept Aparthotel Edinburgh Queen Street

Edinburgh's New Town, with its Georgian terraces and easy walk into the city centre, is where Heeton Concept Aparthotel Edinburgh Queen Street is based, occupying a spot on Queen Street itself. It's a practical choice for those who want a proper base rather than a standard hotel room, with restaurants, bars and other attractions all within easy reach.

Family rooms and accessible rooms are available, and each apartment has free WiFi and drinks provided. A lift serves the building, and staff offer concierge services and luggage storage for guests arriving early or leaving late.

On-site parking is available for a charge, useful given the central location. Stayed for two nights in April. Great location for walking around Edinburgh. Quiet at night. Loved having the little kitchen and living room. Enjoyed being able to come back and chill on the sofa while making myself dinner after a long day being a tourist. Staff were helpful. Check-in and out done on a tablet which was handy, lovely Italian sounding lady helped explain this on arrival.

My husband and I tend to focus on the positives, and we really wanted to enjoy our stay here. We truely are easy to please. The location is beautiful, and the room itself was comfortable. However, the parking situation was a major letdown and set a frustrating tone for our first day in Edinburgh. Upon arrival, we were told that the hotel’s four allocated parking spots were already taken. The only guidance we received was to download an app to find nearby parking. To save time, we split up, I started laundry while my husband took the car to search for a spot. After waiting long enough for me to finish an entire load of laundry (over an hour), he returned. Every nearby option was booked, and he’d spent that hour navigating Edinburgh’s rush hour traffic. In the end, we had to pay an extra ~$100 for parking elsewhere that was a kilometer away. I know the hotel can't magically make a new parking lot appear, but a little guidance with some insight of the dire parking situation would be helpful. The next morning we went for breakfast. I had a croissant on my plate and ordered a coffee, then was asked if I had breakfast was included in our booking. When I wasn’t sure, the staff member checked and informed me it would cost £15. I clarified that I only wanted the croissant, and she accommodated an à la carte charge. One person was handling food service, coffee, clearing tables, and the front desk, which made everything painfully slow. The bathroom also left something to be desired. We were in an accessible room (though we hadn’t requested one), and the entire bathroom floor was tiled, giving it the feel of a public pool. The cleanliness wasn’t up to par, either. The hair is have included on the floor, well, I'm blonde. This was supposed to be the “nice” hotel for the final leg of our trip, but it ended up being a series of small headaches. While the location and room were pleasant, the logistical hassles and lack of attention to detail made it hard to fully enjoy our stay.

I stayed at Heating Concept Hotels for 4 days and honestly it was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had, especially considering how expensive it was. The breakfast costs £15 per person per night, which is ridiculous for what you actually get. Most of it was just fruit, cereal, yogurts, and frozen food. Definitely not worth the price at all. The manager was rude and unhelpful throughout the stay. The only staff members who were genuinely helpful were a few of the receptionists, especially Caitlin, who helped us when our room didn’t even have blankets. There were multiple problems with the room as well. The sink was clogged, the lights stopped working, and to make matters worse, there’s apparently no maintenance staff available on weekends. Receptionists were having to deal with maintenance issues themselves, which is unfair on them and reflects badly on the hotel management. Overall, extremely overpriced for the quality and service provided. I would not stay here again and would not recommend it to others.I stayed at Heating Concept Hotels for 4 days and honestly it was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had, especially considering how expensive it was.

Great facility in a good location. Such a shame that the staff is semi incompetent. We booked and paid for two rooms via Booking.com but for some reason that broke their minds. They assigned our friends a room then checked them out while we were out sight seeing, and moved all their stuff to the lobby. They gave them another room when we got back, but then at 10pm the front desk clerk, Harriett, showed up at our room with a visa terminal demanding we pay an additional deposit. Then she came again ten minutes later demanding a second deposit, for one pound, supposedly for the room key or something. In my fifty years of travelling I’ve never had a hotel proprietor knock on my door late at night demanding additional payment for anything. The manager the next morning said he was sorry for the confusion but words are cheap. He didn’t make any effort to make things right. When I asked if it would be possible to get a late checkout, just one hour, they said it would be another 25 pounds. And the breakfast they charge 12.50 for is pathetic - a banana, some yogurt (which they run out of if you don’t get there early), and some stale croissants. And there’s a five minute lineup for the coffee, with one person behind the counter doing their best but seriously understaffed. It’s a nice building but an amateur operation. Stay somewhere else. Seriously.
