About Valentine City Centre Guest House
Breakfast is included at Valentine City Centre Guest House, a straightforward starting point before heading out to the pubs, restaurants and eateries within easy reach. It's the sort of simple morning routine that suits guests keen to get on with exploring the city rather than lingering over an elaborate spread.
The guest house occupies a Georgian building run on a family basis, with 11 rooms offering en-suite bathrooms, free Wi-Fi and drinks available in the room. Some rooms look out over the garden, and there's a garden on site for guests to use, along with luggage storage for those arriving early or leaving late in the day.
Edinburgh Zoo is nearby, giving visitors a straightforward point of interest to build a day around, and the surrounding streets offer entertainment options for evenings after breakfast has long been cleared away. It's a no-frills base for getting around the city rather than a destination in itself.
What guests say
The room was incredibly cozy, very clean, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. The only downside was the lack of a fridge. Since the weather was quite warm during my visit, having a small refrigerator for cold drinks or fresh water would have been a great addition. Also, the private bathroom was separate from the bedroom. I didn't realize this when booking, but it wasn't a big deal since it was located very close to the room.

Had a nice stay at The Valentine. The room was totally adequate with a nice view and clean facilities. A bit noisy when the other guest were in the stairwell but not much traffic noise.

Good but not too fancy. It was a bit cold and sometimes loud from the streets but I was happy apart from that. There was no elevator but that didn't bother me. The view I had was amazing. One of the receptionists was outstandingly kind.

My first solo trip abroad, visited for a week in September. Ross was great, from reservations to check out. Check in was smooth, easy, and let me leave bags as I got in a bit early. Great recommendation for breakfast after a long flight. Stephanie provided everything I could have needed, was very accommodating when I slept in a bit late my first morning. Cleanliness of the entire house was on point. Excellent hospitality during my stay and was impressed at the assistance for my neighbor when they got locked out in the middle of the night. I felt welcome and safe my entire stay and the only bad part was having to leave. Thanks for a wonderful trip!
