I really like this cinema, but it seems to be luck of the draw whether the screen is actually in focus or marginally off. The last 2 or 3 visits out of 5, the image has been at least slightly soft. It’s really noticeable as soon as the BBFC certificate appears at the start of the film, as the text never looks quite sharp. Last year, one of the staff told me that Minecraft was actually supposed to look like out of focus and that’s how they received the film! 😂 When you’re paying £40 for a family of four, it’s a more than a little frustrating. This would be a 10/10 cinema if there was a little more training and awareness around presentation standards, including checking projector focus before the first screening of the day and having someone occasionally verify that the image is properly focused from inside the auditorium. No offence to the staff, who are all friendly and helpful - the cinema just needs a little re-alignment (pun intended). EDIT: Went again yesterday. Out of focus again. 👎

Friendly staff, but poor quality screen. We were in screen 6 for the new Mandalorian film, and the quality was like watching something 1080p at home. The screen also had multiple ripples along the bottom, making the image appear wobbly on those areas. Nice staff, nice people and a quiet experience, with the staff checking on the room multiple times, but the quality of the image was a real let down. I’ve never been to a Cineworld before, and unfortunately I don’t think we will be going back. We shall be sticking to Odeon and showcase.

Worst customer service I have ever received from an employee named Orsi , she was rude to my partner and I from the moment we came in, when asked what offers they had they said they didn’t do any which they did then when we was confused on what it entailed she gave my partner and I rude looks and was not off any assistance whatsoever. Then when we went to grab the food we bought and they had forgotten one of our drinks. And didn’t even apologise to us. I am very unimpressed and disatisfied. Will not come back again.

Went to watch Toy Story 5 with my children and noticed from the start that the image was out of focus. I raised this twice with the manager(s) and there was some lacklustre attempt to change it but it eventually just went back to the same blurry projection. Manager was a mixture of "looks fine to me" and "that's the best I could do". Having then read the previous recent reviews about the screen issues, it's clear that this is a recurring problem and there's either no interest or knowledge to fix this; probably both. This cinema needs screening and projector training for staff - showing a movie correctly is their core business, after all, and it's far from being a cheap 2h experience. We were at screen 6, which was mentioned as being poorly set up before, so beware/be aware.
