About The Lamb Hotel

The Lamb Hotel traces its origins back to a fifteenth-century coaching inn, rebuilt in its current Regency form and now run as part of the Greene King Inns group. Its thirty-seven en-suite bedrooms sit above a busy ground floor bar and restaurant just off Ely's Market Street, putting guests within a couple of minutes' walk of the cathedral.

The bar serves a changing selection of real ales alongside wines and spirits, and the restaurant offers a straightforward menu of cooked breakfasts and pub classics through the day. Small meeting rooms are available for business groups, and dog-friendly rooms are offered for guests travelling with pets.

Parking is limited to a small car park off Market Street, so many guests arrive by train given the hotel's short walk from Ely station. Its central position and consistent, no-frills comfort make it a practical choice for a straightforward overnight stay in the city.

Hotel is located nicely in the centre of Ely with extremely friendly staff. The food here is of an excellent standard and would please even the harshest of food critics. My room (2) was well furnished, lovely carpeting and very quiet, which affords a good night sleep. I would highly recommend the Lamb hotel!

Excellent service and location. Staff so friendly and helpful. Cooked breakfast freshly prepared. Only issue that Piped music.!!! No tune just a thumping thumping. Would definitely stay again

Ideally located for events at the Cathedral. If you can get there early enough you might even claim a much coveted parking space, though beware Google maps will probably try to send you the wrong way up a one way street to get there. We found the room clean, and the shower had good pressure. The floor is a bit creaky but it all adds to the Lamb character. We didn’t eat there apart from breakfast which though very busy was well staffed and the food and service was vastly superior to the Hotels that consider themselves to be ‘premier’. I look forward to visiting Ely again and staying at the Lamb.
