What visitors say

El Wood

Fabulous views, shaded orchard area for picnics. Wonderful cakes from the mobile unit. The house is full of interesting memorabilia and a one off design. History of the family is interesting too. Great place for a couple of hours. We were there 3 hours enjoying the view in a shady bench.

I certainly didn't expect to love this place so much. The inside of the house is so special and filled with beautiful things. I adored the Shell collection (I'm not usually so taken by these things!) The design of the house is so unusual. Beautiful grounds with a garden.

One of the most intriguing places we've visited. It appears small but this is deceptive, it is quite a unique experience and the volunteers are amazingly well informed and give great and entertaining insight into the history. Will definitely return on a sunnier day to explore the garden and church

A very interesting little gem sitting on the hillside overlooking Exmouth. The exterior and interior are both very interesting and quirky, nothing like I've seen before. The grounds are delightful with views of the house from every angle. The picnic benches in the orchard are a good place to enjoy your picnic. All in all , a delightful, interesting and unusual property.
