Penang City Finsbury

What a great place! Got pulled in by the awesome food display in the window and it more than delivered! Every dish was absolutely banging. We had the mixed starter (chicken satay was the stand out - what have you put on that to make it taste so good?!) Then had nasi goreng with chicken and prawn, beef rendang and roti canai with dahl. Yummy!!!

I can't believe I waited so long to try this delightful cuisine. The vibrant flavors and authentic dishes are simply incredible. I ordered the Nasi Lemak, Nasi Goreng, and Nasi Rendang, along with multiple starters, and let me tell you everything was a feast for the senses! Each dish was packed with flavor and generous portion sizes that satisfied my cravings. What amazed me even more was how affordable everything was, making it the perfect spot for delicious, budget-friendly meals. The atmosphere at Penang City is welcoming, and the staff were friendly and attentive. I can definitely see myself returning again and again to explore more of their diverse menu. If you’re in Finsbury Park, don’t miss out on this hidden gem. This place deserves every bit of recognition it can get! While my experience at Penang City was absolutely fantastic, I should mention that it’s located on a busy high street, and parking can be a bit of a challenge. During my visit, I found that street parking on Blackstock Road is quite pricey costing me £8.90 for just an hour using the Ringo app. Despite this minor inconvenience, the delicious Malaysian dishes and vibrant atmosphere make every penny worthwhile, and I can't wait to return for more delightful meals!

A genuinely wonderful experience, who would have thought that a local restaurant would be so good. Excellently priced, the food is amazing and the service is top notch. Definitely going to come here again. Curry Laksa is the way to go! The drinks are very cool also. I hope they can continue with this service.

Great new restaurant for Malaysian food. The Nasi Goreng was superb and the starters were very tasty. The roti here is also a must try.
