A 27-room hotel on Seven Sisters Road in London, with good breakfasts and easy access to nearby tube stations and a park.

About Queens Hotel

Seven Sisters Road runs through this part of north London with tube stations and a park within easy reach, and Queens Hotel sits among the traffic and terraces with 27 rooms behind its doors. Drayton Park is close by, and the wider pull of the city, including Chessington World of Adventures further out, is reachable from this base.

Rooms come with air conditioning and drinks available, though some are on the small side and can feel a little tired rather than freshly kept. Guests have access to a restaurant and bar on site, along with breakfast each morning, a gym, spa and sauna, and an indoor swimming pool for those who want to unwind without leaving the building. A garden offers a quieter spot, and the hotel also handles meetings and weddings, with concierge service on hand throughout a stay.

Staff are noted for being helpful and friendly, which smooths over the practical business of checking in and finding your way around. Free on-site parking is available, and beyond the hotel there are pubs, restaurants and other eateries nearby, plus entertainment options for evenings out. It works well as a straightforward, well-located base rather than a destination in itself.

Do not be misled by photos: this property is an old Victorian house conversion being passed off as a hotel at premium rates, and it represents zero value for money. The room was stifling and humid with no cross-ventilation, a single tiny window, and a weak table fan with only one setting that did nothing to cool the space. The bed featured an old, sagging, deeply uncomfortable mattress. Hygiene was severely neglected: the carpet flooring looked and felt as if it hadn't been cleaned in decades, and even the chain pulls for the roller blinds were coated in thick grease. The bathroom was virtually unusable. While showering, your elbows hit the walls. There is almost zero clearance between the toilet bowl and washbasin. There are no elevators, and the stairs are dangerously narrow. Despite the reception brushingly describing it as "just a flight of stairs," hauling bags up was an absolute nightmare. Charging a £100 deposit on top of high room rates is outrageous, but making guests wait over a month for its refund is indefensible. You are required to leave your room key at reception every time you exit. However, reception is unattended, leaving guests waiting endlessly just to leave or enter their rooms. The afternoon shift staff were snooty and acted with an attitude, as if assisting paying guests was doing them a massive favor. (To be fair, the night shift team was pleasant and polite, but good night service cannot compensate for such frustrating daytime hospitality). For what this property charges, the experience was atrocious. Save your money and book a proper hotel elsewhere.

Very nice hotel, reasonable price and the rooms are clean and comfortable. The included breakfast was very well prepared and tasty. The staff are very friendly and efficient at what they do. It's a great location to get the Victoria or Piccadilly lines straight into town for work etc. For things to do in the area of an evening I recommend a walk up the more relaxed Stroud Green road, food at Pizza Pappagone, Cats or Jai Krishna. Bottles from Jacks, or real beer and cider at Robins. My first time staying at Queen's but I will likely return

Yes rooms are small, but very cozy and soundproof. It is directly opposite the large park for walking and exercise it is great. 5 minutes from the underground train station.for the price you pay for the hotel it is worth it. Some negatives such as no toilettes, and little smells. But still a solid choice overall.

Great stay for value of money. Room was a bit claustrophobic and had a small en-suite with not much room to move around but had all the amenities. Service was fantastic with friendly staff and a quick and tasty breakfast served with a alright choice in continental. Location is ideal for traveling around London as it is a short walk away from the victoria line which gives access to other major lines.
