About Burlington Hotel, BW Premier Collection by Best Western
Folkestone's seafront setting on England's south coast provides the backdrop for the Burlington Hotel, part of Best Western's Premier Collection. The building itself has character, with charming period features that guests notice alongside its 58 rooms, many with sea views over the Channel.
Rooms are spacious and clean, with comfortable beds and modern en-suite bathrooms; accessible rooms are also available, and a bridal suite makes the hotel a option for weddings. Note that the lift has occasionally been out of action, which is worth bearing in mind for guests who prefer not to use stairs across the hotel's four floors. There's a restaurant and bar on site serving food and cocktails, plus breakfast, room service, and drinks brought to your room. Staff are consistently described as friendly and professional, and the hotel is generally considered good value for money.
Outside, there's a garden and outdoor seating area, and free on-site parking for those arriving by car. Pets are welcome. The surrounding area suits walkers and cyclists, with golf and fishing nearby, and a choice of pubs and restaurants close at hand for evenings out.

What guests say
We had a nice stay at the Burlington Hotel! The staff were very friendly, our room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. We booked a small room, and it was considerably small, but to be fair, this was clearly mentioned on the booking site. Location wise, it's about a 20-minute walk to the town center. It doesn't entirely overlook the beach, but it is very close to major beaches like Mermaid Beach. They have a bar and restaurant downstairs, and the breakfast provided was basic but decent. The only minor issue we had was that the bathroom heater was on during a heatwave. We tried to turn it off, but it kept running. To be fair, we didn't mention it to the staff until we checked out, so they didn't have a chance to fix it during our stay. Overall, a lovely place and we would recommend it!

My wife and I had an absolutely wonderful visit at the Burlington Hotel in Folkestone. Our stay could not have been any nicer. All the staff were amazing with special call outs to Hannah for helping us to locate my missing phone, Gar taking such good care of us in the restaurant and sending us on our way with some treats and Oliver being a delightful and caring server. We look forward to our return! Hugs to you all!

Overall the staff were really nice and the food was really good. The main reason for this review was to let the hotel know there was no cold water only scorching hot. This was disappointing especially in the weather. The phone in the room didn't work so we couldn't tell anyone to fix it while we were there. It happened to another colleague on another floor. We told the receptionist as we were leaving but you might want to check before you book to see if it's fixed.

Do not stay here, a strange man entered our room in the middle of the night and we have been treated appallingly! Staff were unwilling to help at the time and we were lied to on numerous occasions. We ended up finding the culprit ourselves who admitted he had used a card to enter our room and the staff basically said we left the door open when we absolutely did not ! No sleep and full refund refused! Do not stay here find somewhere else that cares about your safety and security and serious staff issues resulting in no one being in charge during the night. Emails ignored, we were told no room key information between 3pm-2am and yet saying it didn’t happen.. very suspect!
