About The Wycliffe
Breakfast and a proper bar on-site set the tone at The Wycliffe, a B&B on Bouverie Road West in Folkestone. Guests can start the day with a cooked breakfast, order a packed lunch for a day out, or settle in the evening with a drink from the bar, either indoors or out in the garden and picnic area.
Rooms are compact but practical, many with en-suite bathrooms, and family rooms are available for those travelling with children, who are also catered for with kids' meals. Free WiFi, drinks in the room, and laundry service add to the everyday comforts, while 24 hour reception and free on-site parking make arrivals and departures straightforward. Pets are welcome, and there's a lounge to relax in beyond the bedroom.
The garden and outdoor seating make the most of Folkestone's setting, and the surrounding area offers walking and cycling routes, golf, fishing, and watersports nearby, along with pubs, restaurants, and entertainment within easy reach. It's a straightforward, well-equipped base for exploring the Kent coast.

What guests say
The positives: it's quiet, staff were friendly and welcoming, prices are good and location is ideal, close to The Leas and a 10 minute walk to the town centre, it's clean enough and on site parking is a bonus The negatives: Vegan breakfast options were advertised, there were none on offer. The wifi is almost non-existent. We went out one day came back to find workmen had opened our room door to place a ladder across the threshold. Also their coms need updating as Trevor & Sharon Macdonald don't seem to be the owners.

Stayed for 2 nights here. Room was pretty good although the bathroom was a little bit noisy - in particular the floorboards and the toilet roll holder. Bed was comfortable, heating was easy to adjust. Curtains quite thin so may not be ideal if you struggle with light waking you up. Chose this guest house because we were seeing a show at Leas Cliff Hall and it's within easy walking distance of the hall. To get into the main town centre it's probably approx 20-25 minute walk. Small parking area was a great bonus. Great value though. Would stay again if i was coming to see another show.

We stayed for one night and didn't expect much, but we were surprised of how lovely the staff were, from check in to breakfast a very pleasant experience. The breakfast itself is a good start into the day and offers many options to choose from (even veggie alternatives). The rooms were quiet and the beds comfortable. The bathrooms are a bit small, but we knew about that in advance and didn't find it a problem. We surely have found a good place to spend the night after or before taking the shuttle in the future!

10 minutes to Le Shuttle. Rooms so clean and spacious. We had to leave super early so missed the cooked breakfast, but was provided with take away bags containing croissants, juice etc... Beds comfortable. Towels and shampoo provided. Would stay again.
