About Kettle House Bed And Breakfast

Kettle House Bed And Breakfast is a compact, four-room property on Golf Course Road in Fort Augustus, built for a quiet, unfussy stay rather than grand surroundings. Rooms are simple and comfortable, each with an en-suite bathroom, and some look out over the garden or towards the surrounding mountains. It's an adults-only setup, which keeps things peaceful, and pets are welcome too.

Breakfast is cooked to order each morning, with a packed lunch available for those heading out for the day, and free WiFi runs throughout. There's a kitchen and laundry service on hand, 24 hour reception for flexible arrivals, and free on-site parking right next to the property. The garden offers a spot to sit outside when the weather allows.

Fort Augustus sits near Loch Ness, and the area has plenty to fill the days: walking and cycling routes, fishing, golf, horse riding and watersports are all nearby, along with pubs, restaurants and other entertainment. It's a straightforward base for exploring the Highlands rather than a destination in itself.

We stayed at Kettle House for a three night stay. Absolutely gorgeous place! Beautiful gardens with enough seating for all guests. Lovely room with great amenities available including a small bottle of fresh milk in the fridge on arrival. Excellent breakfast options that you order the night before. It wouldn't be financially viable to offer a buffet breakfast as there are only four rooms available. Plenty of options to suit all tastes. Hosts were lovely and inviting. All in all, a fabulous place to stay especially if visiting Lock Ness or fancy a day trip to Skye. The only thing that some quests would need to be aware of are the steps. In our lovely room, we had steps up from the bedroom to the bathroom. If you have mobility issues, this may need to be a consideration. The steps are shallow, not steep and definitely did not detract from our enjoyment of staying here.

Just had to write another review because we have now been staying at Kettle House twice a year for some time now and it is constantly excellent Natalie and Mark are fantastic and nothing is too much trouble. We stay with our dog Willow who is also made to feel extreamly welcome. Everything is spotless and the breakfast is simply the best. Positioned within a short walk of the centre of Fort Augustus and plenty of places to eat, get a boat trip on Loch Ness or sit outside the pubs by the three lochs and watch the world go by. Looking forward to our next two visits this year.

What a beautiful B&B! ❤️ It's so full of character and so quirky and extremely cosy! An amazing hidden gem in the beautiful Fort Augustus Village on the shores of Loch Ness with a short walk to see the Loch itself ( Not sure about the monster 😉) The owners are just superb! So kind and so accommodating. You can tell the owners put their heart and soul into this place. Our room was very cozy and immaculately clean. The little gestures of cupcakes and a wee fridge provided in the room (now, you don't see that in the entire uk unless you stay in 5* hotels) is such a great bonus especially if you need to keep your drinks cold! Fantastic breakfast with lots of tasty choices on the menu! And if you appreciate the garden like I do, then you'll enjoy how beautifully its maintained with quirky bits throughout! 😍 Absolutely loved it! 😍

This is a hidden gem. Visiting the UK from Australia and this B&B has the most comfortable bed we have slept in since leaving home 2 weeks ago. Very well appointed ensuite bedrooms and spotlessly clean. Loved the complimentary homemade fancy buns. Short walk to town. It was a pleasure to stay here. I so wished I had my Bull Terriers with me from Oz because this place is extremely dog friendly which was a treat to witness.
