I was there for 2 nights during hiking the Great Glen way. I cant come up with anything negative. Hosts delivering outstanding service, rooms are lovely, excellent breakfast. Its located very close to the canal, but still manage to be quiet. If you stay in Fort Augustus, check if there is a room available here. If there is, just book it. Simple as that.

I recently stayed at Lorien House Bed and Breakfast and had a really lovely experience overall. The room was comfortable, clean, and well-presented—exactly what you want after a long day exploring. One of the standout highlights was the vegetarian breakfast, which was absolutely fantastic. It’s not always easy to find thoughtful and delicious vegeterian options when travelling, but this was genuinely one of the best I’ve had. The host was excellent—welcoming, attentive, and incredibly helpful. They went out of their way to provide us with great tourist information for our next stop on the Isle of Skye. Overall would highly recommend.

The best bnb that we stayed in on our cycling trip around the Highlands. The rooms were cosy and clean, and Debs and Billy were delightful hosts. Would highly recommend.
