Westerdale is a single-storey croft house that has been updated for modern comfort while retaining its character. The whole property is yours alone, arranged on one floor with three bedrooms—two doubles and one with twin singles—plus a bathroom with bath and shower. One dog can stay free, though it must be kept on a lead in this sheep country.
The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering, opening into a dining area where you can eat together. The living room offers a relaxing space away from the bustle, warmed by oil central heating. Bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are included; there is parking for two cars on site. A travel cot and highchair are available if needed.
Fort Augustus sits where the Caledonian Canal meets Loch Ness, a location that works well for families wanting to explore without travelling far. The village has restaurants, shops and a golf club. Nearby are the Great Glen Way walking trail, the Great Glen Canoe Trail, boat trips on the loch, and a heritage centre. The surrounding landscape lends itself to casual walks along the shore or further exploration of the Highlands. No smoking inside.
