Right on the Caledonian Lock at the southern end of Loch Ness. The room was modern, clean and close to everything. Breakfast was offered in the cafe below and guests received a 10% discount. The managers were very friendly and supportive. The bed was very comfortable and shower excellent. Would definitely stay again.

This was by far my favorite hotel during our 7 day trip to Scotland (Edinburgh, Inverness, Loch Ness Gate House)! The hotel has everything needed (iron/ironing board, hair dryer, fan, heater, tea kettle, cups), the room is spacious and has a small table and 2 chairs! The bathroom is a good size compared to others in Scotland we stayed at! Good sized shower and good hot water/pressure! Once we contacted Martin the access was very easy! Key card entry to outdoor door and then to individual room as well! The coffee shop below has breakfast, lunch, and several treats with great service! The view in front of the Gate House is so cool! We got to watch a boat come through the different gates! There are several restaurant/food options near by and shops! I would definitely come back here!

Very cozy and modern design apartment with spacious and luxurious open kitchen. Good location, many restaurants nearby, Loch Ness cruise is just 2 mins walking distance. HOWEVER, though the apartment was cozy, but the owner was quite cold. He seemed very impatient whenever I asked a few more questions. The booking.com property details mentioned hairdryer, but we couldn’t find one. When we called the owner, he said there wasn’t one and he couldn’t provide it because he lived 45 minutes away. He also emphasized that we should have requested anything we needed before arrival. With five of us (including two ladies) staying there, none of us could wash our hair that night. It felt like the only thing he cared about was making sure we checked out by 10 am. The apartment itself worth a 5 stars review but due to the poor service I gave it 3.

Loch Ness Gate House is lovely and comfortable, just what we needed. It had plenty of storage, and great facilities. Easy access to all fort Augustus amenities and lovely area to walk around! We met Martin to let us in and it was very easy to access the key card and get settled in from there. Checkout was equally easy to do. As it is a new hotel my only recommendation is that I wanted some coasters so I didn’t mark any of the surfaces with cups of tea. And also the doors bang quite loudly so signs to remind guests to be quiet with the doors and in the hallway would help with this I feel.
