What guests say
Avoid at all costs – Absolutely hostile environment I have never experienced such rude and aggressive behavior from business owners in my life. We pulled into the parking lot to inquire about vacancy availability, as is standard practice when looking for accommodation. Before we could even get to the door, the owners came out and began screaming and shouting at us. Despite us clearly being there to ask about a room, they refused to listen and continued to berate us, yelling things like "get out of here" and "we don’t care." It was a completely unprovoked, diabolical display of hostility. It is truly concerning to see people in the hospitality industry treat potential guests with such open disdain. If this is how they treat someone simply asking for a room, I shudder to think how they treat their actual guests during their stay. I would highly recommend looking elsewhere if you want to be treated with a shred of human decency.

The rain on arrival made the walk from the train station seem longer than expected but when dry, was a pleasant 20-minute stroll along the loch side. The property was exquisitely decorated and furnished throughout, and the level of detail reflected the care and attention of live-in hosts. A fridge/cooler facility was a nice and welcome consideration. The breakfast choice was varied and fulsome and the single room was bigger than most experienced by this reviewer and even more unusual was the fact that it has the best view from the property. Thanks, and best wishes to Haley and Trev for continued success. Paul

Short 15 minute walk to the city center. Location is great, a little outside, but makes it quieter and peaceful. Great views on the room right in front of the lake with safe and secure parking right on the back part of the house. Rooms were big, clean, new and fresh. Hayley, the host, was very friendly, personable and even offered to dry our wet hiking gear. (which is unexpected and very kind!) Very genuine and kind people of the house, 10/10 would recommend to stay again!

Host Hayley was lovely and efficient. Ashburn house is a wonderful place to stay, close to town - we had the Loch view which was superb. Breakfast was delicious, generous and easy. Everything from the room, common areas and garden was spotless and clean. The room was large, comfortable and quiet - we spent 5 days here using it as a base to explore and could not be happier
