About Creag Mhor Lodge
Creag Mhor Lodge is a modestly sized Highland lodge with just 10 rooms, giving it the feel of a personal retreat rather than a large hotel. Set in North Ballachulish near Fort William, it looks out towards the surrounding mountains, putting Ben Nevis and Glen Coe within easy reach for the day's exploring.
Rooms are comfortable and generously proportioned, with en-suite bathrooms, family options, and drinks available in room. Breakfast is a highlight, and packed lunches can be arranged for those heading out onto the hills. The lodge's bar is a particular draw, offering a curated selection of whisky tastings alongside live Scottish folk music some evenings, while the snack bar and outdoor seating in the garden suit quieter moments. Staff are known for being friendly and ready with local recommendations.
Beyond the lodge, there's a golf course, fishing, watersports, and walking areas all nearby, plus pubs, restaurants and eateries within easy reach. The lodge also operates as a wedding venue, and free on-site parking is provided throughout.
What guests say
I don’t usually write reviews but we had such a nice time at Creag Mhor that I had to. The team were lovely, really welcoming and they run a great operation there. The rooms were good, bigger than expected, the building is true to its history but the facilities are still nice. The bar and lounge room is great with a view of the loch, perfect after a long day of travels, and their whiskey flights are a great nightcap Thanks team for an awesome stay!

Very poor value with strict rules! You certainly don’t get what you paid for. We stayed here a few nights and I felt like out of options with an owner who mostly cared about her priorities. Dinner is pizza or a stew and the closest restaurant is 30 minutes away on foot. Breakfast from 7:45 to 8:45 and make up your mind about what you want to eat the day before. This is a B&B and NOT a hotel as it’s advertised on google (very far from 4 stars), and the second B is very strict. Since I am on holiday and I don’t want to wake up at 7 am to be at breakfast at time, so I can accommodate the owner’s schedule. The whole stay felt that the owner lady is doing a favor to the guests that they can stay at her place. The pictures from the website are not representative of the interior of the rooms. The rooms are dated. The only nice place is the lounge which strictly closes at 10 pm. I was sold an overpriced whiskey at 9:50 and politely sent to my room at 10 by the lady boss (fire security rules!).The view is nice, but unfortunately there is a busy road in front. Hospitality is a foreign concept for the owner lady. She should find another hobby or retire.

Absolutely wonderful experience. My wife and I stayed for four nights using this adorable b&b as our central hub. It’s across the street from Loch Linnhe and centrally located to many hikes and sights. Lorna, Angela and the rest of the staff were very welcoming with great advice on things to see/do. Our room was small but very quiet, cozy and comfortable. One of the highlights was enjoying curated whiskey tastings in the parlor each evening. Both connoisseurs and rookies (like us) will enjoy the eclectic range of local whiskeys.

Stayed here for a night with a friend on our way up to Skye and I wish we had stayed longer. The room was spacious and comfortable and the staff were phenomenal. We went out for a walk and knew we wouldn't return until after all the dinner options closed, but the staff took our order and had it ready for our return. The food, both dinner and breakfast, was simple and delicious. The location was convenient as well, with gorgeous views
