Beamish Holiday Park - Ousbrough Tail-Wag Retreat

This single-storey caravan at Beamish Holiday Park has a practical, open-plan design with everything on ground level. Two bedrooms—one with a double bed and the other with two singles—sleep up to six. The main living space combines kitchen, dining and sitting areas around an electric fire, with a double sofa bed tucked into the lounge for extra guests. French doors lead out to a private decking area with garden furniture.

One bedroom has its own ensuite with toilet; the second bedroom uses a separate shower room. Heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are included. The kitchen is properly equipped for self-catering. You get a private parking space and the whole property to yourself. Dogs stay free and have their own outdoor space; the pub a mile away welcomes them on the patio. Note that the garden has three steps and smoking is not permitted indoors.

Beamish Open Air Museum is nearby, along with woodland walks that suit dog owners. The on-site pub and café mean you don't need to venture far for a meal or coffee.
