About South Causey Inn
South Causey Inn is a substantial country property on Beamish Burn Road in Stanley, County Durham, with 27 rooms and the feel of a rambling countryside inn rather than a standard hotel. Its size and grounds make it as much a wedding and events venue as a place to stay, with a bridal suite among the rooms on offer alongside more standard en-suite accommodation.
Guests have access to a restaurant and bar on site, along with breakfast, room service and drinks brought to the room. Outdoor space is a strength, with a garden, picnic area and outdoor seating for warmer days. Practical extras include free WiFi, an electric vehicle charge point, accessible rooms, laundry service, luggage storage and 24 hour reception, and free on-site parking is available throughout. Pets are welcome, and there's entertainment on offer for those not venturing further afield.
The inn's setting in Stanley puts Beamish Open Air Museum within easy reach, while a golf course, pubs and restaurants nearby give guests plenty of choice beyond the property itself. Chester-le-Street lies a short drive away for those wanting a change of scene.
