Haven in the Burn is a ground-floor apartment sleeping five, set beside Blaydon Burn woodland. The layout keeps everything on one level: a living room with pool table and dartboard opens onto a terrace, a kitchen/dining room with full cooking facilities, two bedrooms (one with a super king bed and ensuite, one with bunk beds suitable for children), and a separate shower room. Essentials like electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are included; the kitchen is equipped for self-catering rather than eating out.
The private rear garden is enclosed and lawned, with sitting-out space and a barbecue. A private hot tub sits on the decking, overlooking the trees. One car can park on site. The property does not permit smoking. A mile-long stretch of Blaydon Burn itself offers woodland walks, and Derwent Walk Country Park—which runs several miles through the River Derwent Valley with visitor centres, bird hides and cycle routes—is nearby. Newcastle is a short drive away.

This was our second visit as a family of four and it was so nice to return! Exceptionally clean, comfortable and cosy. The hosts are friendly, warm and very attentive, we were so grateful for the welcome goodies. The hot tub is so big and a perfect temperature. Loved playing pool and darts, the perfect place to spend quality family time. It really is a haven in the Burn! Thanks for the memories

Stayed here for a weekend and will definitely return. From the week before when we were sent a really helpful guide to the apartment and local area, to the hospitality of the owner and very warm welcome and communication. The facilities are great, including full Sky TV package including sports and movies, pool table, dart board, hot tub, everything you could need in the kitchen. The apartment has two good sized bathrooms with showers and both bedrooms are spacious. The bed in the main bedroom is very comfortable. There are local amenities nearby and some bigger shops etc just 5 mins drive away. Perfect if you want to chill out and not leave the apartment but equally as good if you want to go and explore the North East. The welcome hamper of bread, milk, chocolate, croissants was helpful for us after the drive down and the beers went down well too! There’s a spacious decking/outdoor seating area and garden for when the weather is nice and the area around is very quiet. We had a great few days here and will definitely return again!
