Great museum. Set up in a fantastic building with various classrooms set up for different eras and display rooms with interactive displays. The boys and girls cloakrooms have costumes for kids dress up. Cafe inside. No parking.

Located in the district of Kingston, Scotland street school museum has wonderfully preserved the evolution of education system in Scotland in the 2Oth century. We were fascinated by the exhibits. I definitely recommend it to anyone interested in history and education. The employees there are very knowledgeable and welcoming. My 8 year old daughter was shown all the toys commonly used by both boys and girls in Scottish schools in the last century and she could play with some of them.

I gave it 1 star only because rather than temporarily closed it was a building site, I really do hope it comes back to life because I made the journey to see it and was disappointed that there was very little I could see through the scaffolding.. hope to get the chance to see it in a condition more like its original form

A very nice place to visit, especially for kids. Seeing the classrooms kinda reminded me of my childhood days. The entry is free.
