About easyHotel Glasgow City Centre

There's no restaurant or bar on site at easyHotel Glasgow City Centre, but the Hill Street location puts guests within easy reach of plenty of options nearby, with pubs, restaurants and eateries all a short walk away, plus entertainment and a golf course for those wanting more than a meal out.

The hotel itself keeps things simple across 125 rooms spread over four floors, each with an en-suite bathroom and air conditioning, and accessible rooms available for those who need them. A lift serves all floors, and reception is staffed around the clock. Rooms are compact and furnishings basic, which suits the budget pricing, though anyone wanting extra space or a particularly soft mattress may find them a little tight. There's no parking on site, so this suits guests arriving on foot, by train or by taxi.

The setting works well for exploring Glasgow, with Sauchiehall Street and Kelvingrove Park both within reach for shopping, dining and a walk in the green space. It's a straightforward, well-located base for anyone prioritising price and position over extra comforts.

easyHotel Glasgow is basically the “bare necessities” version of a hotel, and honestly, that’s not necessarily a bad thing as long as you know what you’re booking. As an American traveler used to more full-service hotels, this was definitely a different experience, but it served its purpose well in several areas. One major positive was that the staff held our bags when we arrived in town early, which made exploring Glasgow much easier before check-in. The front desk staff overall were friendly and helpful enough throughout the stay. The location is also excellent, with easy access to walking routes, buses, and the subway. The room itself was actually decently sized for a budget hotel. We had two twin beds with enough room to function comfortably, and the air conditioning worked extremely well, keeping the room cool the entire stay. We also had a windowless room, which honestly felt very similar to an interior cabin on a cruise ship, and we didn’t mind it at all. That said, this is a true no-frills experience. There are no tissues, toiletries, cups, or extras whatsoever. If you didn’t bring it with you, you probably won’t have it. There were plenty of power outlets, although almost all of them were located beside only one bed. The TV placement was also a little awkward since it doesn’t swivel. The bathroom was by far the weakest part of the experience. The shower takes up most of the bathroom space, so the entire floor becomes wet almost immediately. The shower curtain setup is frustrating, with the hooks constantly getting stuck while moving it around, and the curtain doesn’t really prevent water from going everywhere anyway. There is also essentially zero counter space, no hand towel, and only one bath towel per guest. Overall, if you go in understanding that this is a minimalist budget hotel focused primarily on location and affordability, it does the job well. The cool room, convenient location, and helpful staff were all positives, but the bathroom setup and complete lack of amenities are definitely things travelers should be prepared for.

Great stay at easyHotel Glasgow. Perfect for solo travellers, bachelors, young couples, or even as a quick pit stop during your journey. Excellent location — close to cafes, shopping malls, and the city centre, making everything very convenient. Rooms are small but alright, clean, looks like campus stay. Special thanks to Ollie and Kacper at reception for their warm, friendly, and helpful service. Simple, comfortable, and great value for the location. recommended for short stays in Glasgow! 👏🏨

Good for a night, but lacks ventilation Stayed here for a short trip. You can’t beat the location for this price; it's close to everything you need in Glasgow. The room was spotless but very tight. My main issue was the lack of shelving/storage and the fact that the windows are sealed. The humidity after showering stays in the room for a long time, making it feel stuffy. You are entirely dependent on the air conditioning. Fine for a quick stopover, but not for longer stays.

Was able to check in early on arrival and was also upgraded. There is a lift to take you up to Reception and rooms, however it wasn't working on our last day. Staff friendly and attentive nothing too much trouble and additional changes handled easily. Theres lots of literature in the Reception as well as a chair to relax. If you don't want to walk around with bags they can be left for a price. Felt safe coming and going and in the room. Nice that the key cards were not made of plastic. Had a window too and were entertained during the rain and high winds.
