About Travelodge Glasgow Central
Ninety-three rooms spread across seven floors make Travelodge Glasgow Central a straightforward base in the heart of the city on Hill Street. Rooms come with en-suite bathrooms and drinks available in-room, with accessible rooms on request and a lift serving all floors. Some rooms are compact and can show their age, but they're kept clean and the price reflects the simplicity on offer.
There's a restaurant and bar on site for meals without needing to head out, plus a decent breakfast spread to start the day. Staff run a 24-hour reception, and pets are welcome for those travelling with animals. Parking isn't on site, but chargeable parking is available two minutes' walk away at the Cambridge Street car park, and there's an electric vehicle charge point at the property.
The location suits visitors heading to the SECC or into Glasgow's shopping streets, with pubs, bars and restaurants nearby, plus a golf course and entertainment options within reach for those staying longer. It's a functional, well-placed choice for anyone prioritising location and value over frills.
What guests say
Stayed at Travelodge Glasgow Central and had a fantastic experience from start to finish. The location is absolutely perfect, right in the heart of the city and within easy walking distance of shops, restaurants, and transport links, making it an ideal base for exploring Glasgow. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, with a very cozy bed that ensured a great night’s sleep. Despite being so centrally located, the hotel was surprisingly quiet, which made it even more relaxing after a busy day out. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help with any questions. Check-in and check-out were quick and hassle-free, which I really appreciated. Overall, I found it to be excellent value for money. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Glasgow for business or leisure.

The only positive I have to say about this was the really helpful lady we got on reception. Otherwise the place is horrible. The hallway on our floor stunk of a mixture of stale old food, urine and smoke. The resulting smell caused our room to smell unpleasant too. The shower leaked the whole entire time which caused the bathroom floor to be soaking. I developed a rash during my stay which probably says a lot for the hygiene of the place. We will not be back.

Would not recommend. No staff around. Room walls too thin. People hanging around outside and up all hours in rooms so hard to sleep. Decor dated. Coffee at breakfast undrinkable.
