About voco Grand Central

Glasgow Central Station sits right beneath voco Grand Central, so trains, taxis and the city's shops, bars and restaurants are all just outside the door. The Scottish Event Campus is also within reach for anyone visiting for a conference or a show, making this a practical base for both business and leisure stays in the city.

The hotel has 230 rooms with en-suite bathrooms, and guests consistently note they are spacious, comfortable and well kept. There's a restaurant, a snack bar and a bar on site, including a Champagne Bar that looks out over the station concourse below - a distinctive spot for a drink. Breakfast is served buffet-style and is regularly singled out as one of the highlights of a stay.

Beyond the food and drink, facilities cover most practical needs: free WiFi, 24-hour reception, lift access, laundry service, luggage storage, concierge, meeting rooms and accessible rooms, with pets also welcome. Staff are generally described as friendly and helpful, though service is occasionally reported as inconsistent. For a stay built around convenience, direct access to the station and the surrounding city centre remains the standout draw.

I wanted to take the time to leave a review. We booked the hotel for two nights. The first night was excellent — the room was spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. We were really looking forward to staying another night and then heading straight back to London from the station — how convenient! Unfortunately, a fire broke out nearby and we were unable to return to the hotel the following evening. Our belongings were trapped inside, including important work equipment, house keys, and passports. The hotel swiftly arranged a replacement hotel for us. They were able to retrieve some of our important belongings two days after the fire, and we are still waiting to collect the remaining items. Despite the situation, the staff were polite, professional, and very helpful throughout. I can understand that some guests may have left feeling unsatisfied, but this was an exceptional circumstance and I think the staff handled it well. I look forward to returning to Glasgow one day and staying at the Voco Grand Central again. (I will get a voco Teddy next time!)

Each room is spacious and very clean. Staff are excellent. In addition this is the perfect place to hold large events like weddings, functions and corporate events. Attended many events here over years and they never fail.

I love hotels that are inside train stations. I had a view of the station hall and platforms in the distance. Absolutely the biggest bed i ever slept in and im tall, i felt small. The duvet was gigantic as wide as that huge bed. Amazing. I could hear the train announcements in my dreams.
