About YOTEL Glasgow
Adjustable beds in every one of the 257 rooms are the detail that sets YOTEL Glasgow apart, giving guests the option to tweak their sleep setup rather than settle for a standard mattress. The hotel sits on Argyle Street in the City of Glasgow, close to Glasgow Central, which makes it a practical base for anyone arriving by train or heading off early the next morning.
Rooms come with en-suite bathrooms, air conditioning and in-room drinks, and family and accessible rooms are available for those who need them. On site there's a restaurant, a bar, a gym and a lift, plus breakfast and laundry service, covering most of what's needed without having to leave the building. That said, some rooms have been reported as not always being kept in the best condition, so it's worth bearing in mind alongside the otherwise well-equipped setup.
Staff are consistently mentioned as friendly and helpful, and the breakfast is a regular highlight for guests staying over. The Scottish Event Campus is within easy reach for anyone visiting for a show or conference, and the surrounding area has restaurants, pubs and entertainment nearby for evenings out.
What guests say
Stayed for 10 nights. The location of the hotel was very ideal as it was right near central station; making public transport more easier, all shops are near by and they’re popular as well. A nearby mall, St Enoch, with great shop choices there as well, and restaurants which are close by. The rooms we booked were 2 rooms, both basic ones. The bed is adjustable which was convinent for sitting and sleeping, the bed itself was comfortable. The room had a hair dryer, as well as an iron and iron board. The downside of the room is mainly the shower/washroom area, the toilet is separated from the shower, which is good. However, the shower itself doesn’t have a lock on it, and it’s not that spacious, making changing clothes an issue due to lack of space and privacy. The rooms air conditioning works very well, and I am very pleased with the lighting, there are lights behind the TV, and the restroom. I used the TV using chrome cast. The room has lots of storage space for suitcases, underneath the bed, 2 drawers for regular use, and a safe, overhead suitcase space, anywhere in the room, etc. The hotel breakfast was good, yet it could be improved with wider food choices. A few foods included in the breakfast were: cereal, fruits, croissants, spreads, coffee machine, yoghurt, etc. Overall, the hotel was great.

We stayed at this hotel for four nights in July and booked a family room with one king-size bed and a sofa bed. The room was much larger than I had expected. I loved the large TV and the tall windows, while my wife and daughter especially liked the huge mirrors. We all enjoyed the shower, which was clean and spacious. The price was very reasonable, considering the hotel is just a five-minute walk from Glasgow Central Station. To be honest, you can occasionally hear some street noise at night because there are a few pubs nearby, but it wasn't a big issue for us. The staff were all very polite and friendly. The hotel also offers a convenient self-service check-in and check-out system. If I could suggest a couple of improvements, I would recommend providing more seating in the room and installing automatic curtains, which would make the stay even more comfortable. It's also worth noting that there aren't many hotels in the area that offer family rooms, so this hotel really stands out. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay and would happily recommend it.

Nice clean room. Shower/toilet is pretty much see through and can hear everything. Hope you and your partner are close. Iron and hairdryer very handy. Comfy bed and adjustable for all those positions.

I paid £245 for a single night stay, a price clearly inflated due to a local concert. While I understand hotels adjust their rates during busy periods, I was disappointed by the lack of consideration shown for guest comfort and reassurance. As a solo female traveller, I was allocated a room directly opposite a group of adult male refugees, with many more housed along the same corridor. While I appreciate that everyone needs somewhere to stay and the government probably paid the hotel to house them but placement and caution to your paying guests is also appreciated. Given the premium price being charged, I would have expected the hotel to consider room allocation more carefully and to show greater awareness of how such arrangements might affect guests travelling alone. For a hotel willing to charge such high rates, I expected a much higher standard of customer care.
