A well-preserved historic castle with plenty of character. The structure is impressive and offers a great sense of its past, with detailed features still visible. Set in a peaceful location. Limited parking.

Definitely worth visiting. You can visit all rooms. Even climb the stairs to the small rooftop walk way. Very nice staff with interesting explanations.

Lovely drive to the site and a very interesting walk around the estate. The castle isn't really a castle more a family home built in the style of a castle.

We had a wonderful experience here as a group of 12 for a unique hen party experience: exploring a huge castle, and picking apples in a huge orchard. The giant game of snakes and ladders was a fun touch too! It had rained while we were there, so the group hid among the trees, and once we returned to our accommodation we baked a couple of beautiful apple pies. Highly recommend, and we timed it perfectly with the apples being in season!
