What guests say
We had a truly fabulous lunch at the Angel & Royal this week. As always, the experience was outstanding from start to finish. The staff are exceptional — warm, attentive, and effortlessly professional — creating such a welcoming atmosphere that makes every visit feel special. The food was absolutely delicious, beautifully presented and clearly prepared with care. While we didn’t stay overnight on this occasion, we have in the past and can happily say the rooms are lovely — comfortable, characterful, and entirely in keeping with the charm of the hotel. The Angel & Royal is also our absolute favourite place for afternoon tea — quite simply the best in Grantham. A real gem, and somewhere we return to time and again with great pleasure. Highly recommended.

Lovely Hotel in the centre of Grantham, full of charm and quirky points. If you’re looking for chain hotel uniformity this is not the place for you. All staff friendly and attentive, rooms a great size, breakfast is exactly as pictured and freshly cooked to your order. Car park is a slight mystery tour, don’t whizz past it as you’re in a one way system. Happily stay again.

Just celebrated my Dad's 80th birthday. We had a private meal in the King's room. The food was outstanding. The service provided by staff was amazing. Some family stayed in hotel too which was very nice. Breakfast was lovely too. This hotel is a credit to grantham and looking forward to the opening of the Hally

As non-guests, I find it difficult to imagine a kinder, more attentive and helpful team than those that made our day such a breeze last week. After a gruelling morning around the streets of Grantham, Mandy and Ruby could not have done anything more to make me feel welcome (I was early) ... For the duration of the day they nailed the little details that showed us they cared ... Add into the mix the wonderful Charlene, Diana and Chloe, on our first visit we felt like family. Anyone in management reading this should realize how much we valued their care ... Fully converted evangelists from now on, you did good by us, so heartfelt gratitude from our side ...
