Nice enough place. Juke box too loud for me. Very much a "locals" bar. No food served, but reasonable range of beers, at reasonable price.

We stayed here for a weekend in July and although the room was comfortable, and bathroom down the hall was ok (in need of a bit of updating), the heat was nearly unbearable. They did have a fan but just blew air around it didn't cool things down much. Check in is not possible before 4-4:30 which is when the bar opens.

The owner was very friendly and helpful. Location is close to town and has lots of shops and takeaways a stones throw for the Hotel. Very quiet no drama in the hotel. The room was spacious and clean. The building had lots of old English character from it's age but had all the mod cons. I couldn't have been happier. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who thinking of staying there.

First few staff were very friendly, and there was only one issue with heating at night, but the portable heater was located. Garden for smoking if your a smoker pub downstairs can be noisy, but there is a pub below, so it's expected. Apart from that specific nights which was in January i was able to sleep and use facilities such as shower etc.
